Welcome to Our School

Welcome to our Tutor Time educational child care in Mooresville, NC. My name is Tammy and I am the center director. I have more than 15 years of experience in early childhood education.

We are accredited through North Carolina as a 4-star facility. Our school offers Infant Care, Preschool and other age-specific programs. We supply a full breakfast, full lunch, and an afternoon snack. In the Infant and Toddler rooms we also supply all baby foods, diapers, and wipes.

Our teachers have met all the qualifications for the state of North Carolina to work in an early child care setting. They also participate in training throughout the year to stay up to date on all aspects of early childhood education.

Tammy Southers, Director

Education: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Marketing

Certifications: Level 3 Administrator

I have been working with children for over 15 years. I graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BSBA in Marketing and also completed licensure requirements for Elementary Education, K-6, from Gardner Webb University.

Dameisha Torrence, Team Lead

Education: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education

Certifications: SIDS, First Aid & CPR

I graduated from Mitchelle Community College in May of 2018 with an associates in Early Childhood Education. I've been a member of the Tutor Time family since August 2017. I was promoted to team lead in September 2023. As a teacher, I have worked in the Toddler, Two's, and Pre-K 2 classrooms. In 2019 and in 2021 I was awarded Teacher Of The Year. In 2022 I had the honor of receiving the Education Award.
