Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Popsicle Stick Craft for Kids

Hi friends! It’s Stacey here from the blog GluedToMyCrafts.com. If you are looking for some inspiration and a fun kid activity to keep the little ones busy this fall, look no further because today’s Popsicle Stick Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin craft is as EASY as it gets!

These one-of-a-kind pumpkins are super easy to whip up and are perfect for children of ALL ages. Plus, the customization part is pretty much endless with this one!

So let’s gather up our craft supplies, clear the kitchen table and let our child’s creative side shine this season! Find the full tutorial for this Halloween-inspired kid craft below. Happy crafting, my friends!

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Popsicle Sticks {9 percraft}
• School Glue
• Orange Craft Paint
• Paint Brush
• Scissors
• Brown/Green.Black Cardstock

Directions:

First you will want to assemble the base of your jack-o-lanterns. For each pumpkin, simply glue nine popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {seven laid next to each other with two across} Set aside to let it dry completely.

Now you are ready for the paint! Have children take their paint brush and dip it in some orange paint. Paint the front of the popsicle stick fence completely orange. Again, set aside to let it dry.

Next grab your cardstock and scissors. Cut out a rectangular stem out of the brown, a vine out of the green and of course – jack-o-lantern features from the black. Remember – it doesn’t need to be cookie-cutter either! Let those creative juices flow on this step!!!

To finish off the Popsicle Stick Jack-O-Lanterns – glue all your cardstock pieces in place on the popsicle stick shape. At this time you can also add other embellishments you see fit {like glitter, rhinestones, feathers etc.} to really give it that custom look! Then set aside one last time to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!!!

For displaying – the finished pieces stand pretty nice when leaned against something but you can also add some ribbon to the back to hang it OR add magnets so you can display them on the fridge!
